If you or someone you know is caught up in the endless loop of the legal system, our Forensic Mental Health and Court-Ordered Psychotherapy program can stop the circle.

For  people who find themselves caught up in the legal system or have been court ordered for assessment or treatment, it can be an experience wrought with anxiety and fear.

Often, it feels like an endless loop that ends up costing a lot of money with very little to show for it.  Here are just few areas that people get referred to:

  • Anger Management
  • Substance Abuse
  • Psychological Testing or Mental Health Evaluation
  • Competency Examinations
  • Child Custody Evaluation
  • Sex Offender Assessment & Treatment
  • Alcohol and Drug Testing
  • Psychosexual Paraphilic Disorders

When you call their office in order to get information or make an appointment, you leave a message, and then you wait.  You're already reluctant and not overjoyed at the prospect of having someone tell you that you have a “problem” and you need to go to treatment to be “fixed.”

At WTG, someone will answer the phone and walk you through the process.  Questions will be answered to your satisfaction.  Our Rational Philosophy (REBT) is based on acceptance of all human beings, and helping the individual to develop the skills to change their poor behavior.

Specifically, WTG practices in methods of Rational–Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT).  The origin of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), REBT provides a re-training process of education in form, but presented in such a fashion that is easily understood.  And actually, fun to learn.

Our forensic programs are headed by the very talented and exceptionally skilled Mr. Robert Whitford, Ed.S., LMHC.  Mr. Whitford has been providing his skills and expertise in forensic mental health for 30+ years.  He is a court paneled expert able to provide testimony and to speak to the court on the behavioral issues revealed through evaluation, testing, and assessments.  Bob speaks his mind and is able to speak to judges and attorneys in a language that is understandable and helpful to clients.

Call our office today at (813) 872-3022 to discuss how we can help you.
